Les Kouba's Coffee Table Book

Les Kouba's book, The Legacy of Les C. Kouba, would make a beautiful coffee table gift book. It contains a comprehensive view of his work including extensive biographical information. See why he is credited with being the first of the wildlife artists as we know them today. Here is a little about Les from the cover of the book.

"The Legacy of Les C. Kouba is the story, in pictures, words, and paintings, of the life and career of Minnesota's dean of wildlife artists, Les Kouba.
Les claims he has been retired for several years, yet he is forever busy. At 71, he can still be found hard at work: in his studio; in the home he has shared with his wife Orial for 50 years; at the American Wildlife Galleries; or out experiencing the very things he paints-nature and its elements.
I only paint what I know," says Kouba. I always made it a point of turning every experience into a learning opportunity." So true to life and precise in detail is his work that it is renowned for its authenticity. This artwork is as original as the artist himself.
Kouba describes himself as "just a farm kid from Hutchinson," but he is much more than that. His generosity has touched the hearts of many through his charitable contributions and conservation efforts. Jimmy Robinson once said of Les, "he's the best friend ducks ever had."
Kouba has never taken success for granted. He works as hard today as he did more than 50 years ago when his career was just beginning. He never lost sight of his childhood goal of becoming a wildlife artist."

The contents of this book are only a small part of what Les Kouba is all about. From his first painting to his most recent, each and every one of them reflect a part of his life. Each one tells its own story based on his experiences. These are the chronicles of a truly unique and original man. (from the cover) $195 .
