2007 Terry Redlin's Limited Edition "Evening on the Ice"

Charles Peterson Maritime Prints

Charles Peterson retired from teaching in 1973. He then moved his family to Door County in Wisconsin where he had always enjoyed vacations. He had always loved sailing so his art work at the time followed a maritime theme. The following quote comes from Peterson's web site:

"In 1982 he was invited by Mystic Maritime Museum Gallery, to send two pieces to the Mystic International. He has since exhibited regularly there, twice winning the Hoyne award, and being listed by the gallery as a Modern Marine Master. His most recent award from Mystic was the Museum Purchase Award at the 27th International in 2006. Russell Jinishian, recognized as an authority on maritime art of the 20th and 21st centuries, included his piece “Sabbath at Sea” in his recent book Bound for Blue Water Contemporary American Marine Art."

The following titles are included in his Maritime series. We have his last print in the series, November at Anderson's Dock, available:

Built by early settler Aslag Anderson 150 years ago at the Ephraim lakefront, these buildings and Anderson's Dock have provided subject matter for many a Charles Peterson painting, along with the Mackinaw type fishing boat pictured here being stored away for winter.
